Agencies involved in THAI incident investigation

A number of transport-related agencies are involved in the investigation into Thai Airways International's incident on September 8, said THAI President Sorajak Kasemsuvan.

The committee is being carried out by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee of Thailand (AAIC), which includes the Department of Civil Aviation. The committee will also comprise the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB, from the USA), the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses (BEA, investigation authority of France), and representatives from Airbus and Pratt & Whitney.
The investigation is chaired by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Transport.
On September 11, THAI successfully moved its Airbus A330-300 aircraft from Suvarnabhumi Airport runway 19L, where the aircraft skidded off the runway after landing.
