Baht jumps to near 31

Thai baht on Thursday jumped 1.91 per cent at the open, following the US decision to maintain the bond-buying programme.
At 8.26am, the Thai currency was traded at 31.08 per US dollar. At the level, it was 3.44 per cent higher from the closing at the end of August.
Compared to the previous closing, the baht also rose 0.68 per cent against euro to 42.0015 and 1.17 per cent against Japanese yen to 31.64 per 100 yen.
