Two protests were held outside Government House Tuesday. Dairy farmers called for an increase in the price of raw milk, while lottery sellers with disabilities called for help to cut the overpricing of lottery tickets.
Some 600 dairy farmers, led by the president of Nong Pho Dairy Cooperatives in Ratchaburi, Somchai Damthamis, gathered at the fourth gate on Phitsanulok Road. The farmers said dairy production costs had risen and the government must approve the milk board’s July 29 resolution to add Bt1.31 per kilogram to the raw milk price – lifting it to Bt19.31 per kg – from October 1.
