Fed expected to maintain QE

Tisco Asset Management is convinced that the US shutdown will force the Federal Reserve to delay the tapering on the quantitative easing for a while. This will then benefit global stock markets, including Thailand's, but will not suppress volatility.

Sarat Chatsuwan, an executive of the fund company, said the fund company forecasts the SET index to end this year in the range of 1,500-1,600 points.
After gaining 1.81 per cent yesterday, the Thai stock market today is in the negative territory.
