Je Festival pushes vegetable prices up

Vegetable prices in Phuket during the Je Festival are expected to increase by 8 per cent from the same period last year, according to the provincial commerce office's survey.
The survey, conducted before the vegetarian festival starts on October 5, however showed that average vegetable prices are about 16 per cent higher from a week earlier.
