Get snap 'happy' with The Nation
In a move to spread happiness ahead of the New Year, Nation Multimedia Group (NMG) is giving one and all a chance to join the "i Happiness" contest - and a chance to win prizes worth a total of Bt100,000.
Applicants have until November 7 to file a winning photo or 15-second clip capturing a happy moment that makes everybody smile.
Winning entries will be announced on November 15 and published in all media under the NMG flag.
The photo contest is divided into “professional” – using DSLR or high-definition cameras – and “amateur” – using phone cameras. The top prize for the professional category is Bt40,000 in cash, followed by Bt15,000 for the first runner-up and Bt5,000 for the second runner-up, while amateur photographers stand to win Bt20,000, Bt10,000 and Bt5,000 respectively.
The three winners in the video-clip contest will be offered Bt20,000, Bt10,000 and Bt5,000 respectively.
There will also be “popular vote” awards based on Facebook “shares” and Instagram “likes”. Winners from this will get awards from contest sponsors.
