Assoc Prof Dr Surasak Leelaudomlipi, director of Ramathibodi Hospital, said Chalerm had recovered with no complications and was allowed to go home.
Earlier yesterday, social-media networks were buzzing with rumours that Chalerm had died from swelling in the brain, but Pheu Thai Party spokesperson Prompong Nopparit said these rumours had been spread to create confusion.
He said he had visited the labour minister and found that he was still strong. Prompong added that Chalerm’s aides had told him that the minister had been discharged yesterday afternoon.
