Opposition to query PM on rice deal

The Democrats plan to query the prime minister on two issues - the rice deal with China and the security enforcement, chief opposition whip Jurin Laksanavisit said on Wednesday.

PM Yingluck Shinwatra will be asked to clarify whether China is to buy one million tons of Thai rice per year or in a five-year package.
The opposition lawmakers want the government to disclose the spendings related to street protests and the rice pledging scheme.
