Justice Ministry to seek Bt30bn for building 42 new prisons
Justice Minister Chaikasem Nitisiri said Wednesday that he would ask the Cabinet to allocate Bt30 billion for building 42 new prisons to solve the problem of overcrowded jails.
HE said he would also push for a bill enactment to suspend imprisonment of inmates who have served at least two thirds of their terms and for aged inmates.
