Weng to abstain on amnesty bill vote

Pheu Thai Party MP Weng Tojirakarn, a red-shirt leader, said he would abstain when votes are held for the amnesty bill on the second and third readings.

Weng said he disagreed with the blanket amnesty as decided by the majority of the House committee vetting the bill.
Weng said he would explain to red-shirt people that bill would be enacted as decided by the majority in parliament although red-shirt leaders disagreed with the blanket amnesty.
