Suriyasai: Political highlight rally, not House debate on amnesty bill

Suriyasai Katasila, Green Politics Group leader, said on Thursday that the highlight of Thai politics will be whether the number of protesters at Samsen railway station organized by the opposition Democrat Party will reach a hundred thousand.
Suriyasai, who is also a key member of People's Assembly Reforming Thailand, said the assembly will tomorrow meet and decide its next political move.
“Whether we will join the Samsen destination depends on the situation. If the rally is escalated, we will have to discuss the situation and make a decision,” he said.
He said he believed there would be more rallies by other groups, such as rallies at business-area Silom.
