The Students Organisation of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang issued a statement against the amnesty bill, saying it would destroy the rule of law and widen rifts in the society.
The students organisation said in the statement that the House rushed to pass the bill in a manner that led to doubt on the legitimacy of the bill.
The statement said the House had damaged its credibility and set a bad example for the Thai society with the passage of the bill.
It said it was not right to absolve the people who burned and damaged other people’s properties and those who committed corruption.
The bill would not solve the problems of political rifts either.
The students organisation also called on the Senate to reject the bill.
