Travellers flock to Mor E-Dang Cliff

A number of Thai and foreign travellers were seen at Phra Wiharn National Park, which was reopened today.

The park, which gives access to the Mor E-Dang Cliff from where Preah Vihear temple can be seen, was closed on November 4 ahead of the International Court of Justice's ruling on the Thai-Cambodian spat.
Saksit Pholsapsiri, chief of the national park in Si Sa Ket, said that if no violence happens along the border, soon tourists will be allowed to put up tents to gaze at stars and enjoy the winter mist.
During 8am to noon, over 500 travellers bought tickets to enter the park, including some 10 foreigners.
Villagers at Ban Bhumi Sarol, which is at the foot of the cliff, also set up stalls to sell their souvenirs and food.
