CAT chief executive Kittisak Sriprasert said if the protesters raid and occupy the CAT headquarters, the telephone and Internet services would not be affected at all because the CAT has a back-up system that could provide uninterrupted service.
He said the services would continue as usual unless a severe disaster happen.
He said the CAT would hold a meeting of its board of directors on Monday and would not cancel the meeting.
He believes that the protesters would simply stage a symbolic seizure and do not really want to cause interruption of people’s communications.
Rally leader Suthep Thaughsuban declared the protesters would occupy CAT headquarters on Changwattana Road on Saturday. Staffs are told not to come to work on Monday until further notice.
