National volleyball player wishes to change training ground

A National women's volleyball player who stayed in Ramkamhaeng area where fatal clashes erupted last night, said Sunday she is now safe in her apartment but so scared of the unexpected situations.

Piyanut Pannoy resides in an apartment in Ramkhamhaeng Soi 55, opposite the Ramkhamhaeng University, where clashed between Ramkamhaeng students and red supporters took place.
She said in an interview with The Nation that she was afraid of leaving leave her place as she still felt unsafe."Yesterday I went outside and on my return, I was riding on a motocycle taxi heading my Soi 55 when the driver decided to drop me at Soi 53 due to the violence in front of the university at around 7pm."
She had to walk back to her place. "From around 8pm, I heard the sound of shooting. I kept myself in my dorm and dared not go out anywhere."
"Now we have been training in preparation for the forthcoming SEA Games in Myanmar. The players asked the staff coaches if we could shift our training venue from the Sport Authority of Thailand in Hua Mark to somewhere else."
She said the players felt unsafe training there. I would like to see the situations return to normal as fast as possible. Such a situation has really affected our Games preparation," she said.
