National Human Rights Commission calls on all sides to stop violence

The National Human Rights Commission Monday issued a statement to urge all sides in the political conflicts to stop using violence.

The commission said in its statement that violence ensued at several places around Bangkok, including at the Ramkhamhaeng University and at seveal government offices.
The commission also urged police to investigate and bring the ones who fired at students to justice.
The statement said the protesters must also respect the media’s rights and must not intimidate the media.
It said both sides must avoid confrontation and police must use leniency when dealing with protesters.
