Online passport issuance services resumed

Consular Department officials Monday resumes online passport issuance services after the passport database server has been linked to passport issuance branches around the country, a senior Foreign Ministry official said.
Nuttavudh Photisaro, deputy permanent secretary for Foreign Ministry, the linking of the database to the branches allowing passport issuance to be sped up.
When the server was down, officials had to manually key data, prompting the services to be delayed and prompted the services to be limited.
Nuttavudh said each office would be able to issue more passports a day.
