Finance Ministry gives green light for using Bt2.118 bn from central fund for education loans

The Finance Ministry Tuesday gave a green light for the Education Ministry to use Bt2.118 billion from the central emergency fund to provide educational loans for university students, caretaker Deputy Education Minister Sermsak Pongpanit said.
Sermsak said the revolving fund for providing loans to university students would be adequate for helping 727,936 students because the fund has also received Bt12 billion from students who have finished their education and returned the loans.
