On Friday morning, Phra Buddha Issara and anti-government protesters asked Bangkok's Don Muang police station to take legal action against Wuthipong Kotthammakhun, also known as Ko Tee.
In the afternoon, the monk filed the same complaint with Kukot police station in Pathum Thani province.
The monk said Wuthipong's recent interview with a foreign press violated the lese majeste law. The recorded interview has been widely shared on the social networks and police have now warned the public against viewing or sharing it as they could be violating both computer and lese majeste laws.
He gave police seven days to take action concerning the matter otherwise he would return to the police station.
