Niwattumrong urges Army to 'act within constitution'

Acting caretaker Prime Minister Niwattumrong Boonsongpaisan on Tuesday urged the Army to "act within the Constitution" when it enforces the martial law.
The prime minister said his caretaker government also wanted to return peace and order to the country.
"Any actions need to follow a peaceful path, without violence, discrimination and with equality based on the rule of law," according to his first statement, which was issued following the martial law declaration.
