Government officials need to work 'proactively': Prayuth

Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha said Friday night that government officials need to change their working style to cope with the threats against the country.
He said the external threats would grow after Thailand opens up its country to join the Asean Economic Community late nest year.
“We need to adjust the working style of our officials to be proactive and preventive instead of being defensive or trying to solve problems,” Prayuth said.
He said the country’s strategies needed to be set clearly for all sectors to cope with the opening of the country to the AEC.
