Australian -Thai artist residency programme opens

The Australia-Thailand Institute (ATI) is inviting applications for the ATI Artist-in-Residency programme, Australian Embassy in Bangkok announced on Thursday.

The programme offers artists from Thailand and Australia a residency in each other’s countries at a maximum expense of 10,000 Australian dollars. It is designed to create enduring ties between artists and organisations in Thailand and Australia.
The residency is open to Australian and Thai artists over the age of 18 with a proven art practice of at least three years in visual arts, performing arts and literature. The residency period runs from October 2014 to June 2015.
Applicants can choose from two possible options: a selfinitiated residency at a host organisation of the applicant’s choice or a Thai based residency at ComPeung in Chiang Mai Province.
Applications close on September 30.
