Rajata vows to boost primary care, more doctors

Public Health Minister Dr Rajata Rajatanavin has vowed to strengthen primary care services with more family physicians and develop all healthcare systems to be of harmony and unity in term of benefits, service access, funding and data systems.

Having positions as both minister and Mahidol University (MU) president would not affect his work at both place, he said, adding that he would work hard for the ministry and the university and would explain this to the MU community soon.
Rajata, accompanied by his deputy Dr Somsak Chunharas, started working at the ministry yesterday. Rajata later told the press he had given 10 policies for ministerial executives and urged officials to adhere three working principles: performance-oriented simplicity, unity and good governance.
