The Australian Embassy’s Direct Aid Programme (DAP) is inviting applications for financial support of up to Bt700,000 for humanitarian and development projects.

The DAP is a flexible small grants programme funded through Australia’s aid programme.
A guiding principle of DAP in Thailand is that proposed projects should have a tangible humanitarian or developmental outcome and/or make a practical contribution to building the capacity of recipients in a relevant and appropriate ODAeligible sector.
“Funding is available to individuals, organisations and community groups engaged in development activities in Thailand on a notforprofit basis,” the embassy's press release states.
Applications cannot be accepted from commercial operations and applicants must already be working in Thailand.
The vast bulk of successfully funded DAP projects fall between the range of Bt100,000 and Bt700,000. The projects must be completed and acquitted fully before the end of May 2015, although in exceptional circumstances projects may be extended until May 2016.
Applications close on October 31, 2014. For more information, check out the Australian Embassy’s website at www.Thailand.Embassy.gov.au. Queries can be directed to the Australian Embassy by email to [email protected] or by calling (02) 344 6371 (English) and (02) 344 6362 (Thai).
