Four M16s found in rubber plantation in South after arrest

Security officers seized four M16 machine guns and ammunition in Pattani's Thung Yang Daeng district yesterday morning.

The search at a rubber plantation at about 1.30am stemmed from information received from arrested suspect Muhammad Thamisi on Tuesday.
One of the rifles was used in a July 2012 attack that killed four soldiers in Ma-Yor district.
Meanwhile, suspected insurgent Masorbeulee Jehboo, 42, was arrested in Pattani’s Yaring district on Friday night, with a motorcycle with a hallowed-out body for allegedly storing a bomb seized along with other items that included 12 communication radios, metal pieces in two bottles, two boxes of fireworks and three gallons of gasoline.
Masorbeulee reportedly confessed that he was going to take the items to a friend to make a bomb.
