Former Pheu Thai MP Prasit pleads guilty to lese majesty

Former Pheu Thai MP Prasit Chaisisa Monday pleaded guilty to lese majesty charges.

He submitted a 32-page statement to Criminal Court, admitting that he had insulted His Majesty the King while he spoke at a red-shirt rally on May 7 and he is now filled with remorse.
The court scheduled to hand down a sentence on December 3. The court ordered probation officials to check Prasit's background that the court would consider for the sentence.
