Several official Asia visits ahead for Prayut

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will go on an official visit to Laos and Vietnam next week to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation.

The three countries are part of the 10-member Asean grouping.
The junta's spokesman Virachon Sukontapatipak said Prayut would arrive in Laos on November 26 and head to Vietnam the following day, before returning home on November 28.
Prayut is also scheduled to visit Malaysia on December 1, a well-informed source said. It is believed that the two leaders will focus on peace talks in the deep South, especially since Malaysia is acting as the facilitator.
The premier is also scheduled to attend the Asean-Korea Summit in South Korea’s Busan on December 11-12. This summit is expected to discuss the boosting of cooperation between Asean countries and South Korea. Virachon said Prayut may visit Japan after this, but the date had been set.
