Thai Foreign Ministry to clarify position on students and three-finger gesture

The Thai Foreign Ministry will invite the local representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Matilda Bogner, to meet with them in order to clarify the recent incident in which people were questioned after making three-finger gesture.
Bogner old AFP that this case is the latest illustration of a worrying pattern of human rights violations, which has the effect of suppressing critical and independent voices.”
FM spokesman Sek Wannamethee said his ministry was prepared to invite Bogner to discuss and clarify the matter.
