Prayut to introduce Aksara to Malaysia as Thailand's chief peace negotiator

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will inform his Malaysian counterpart during his one-day visit that Gen Aksara Kerdpol, the chief advisor for the Supreme Command, will be Thailand's chief negotiator for holding peace dialogues with southern insurgents.

Prayut, Aksara and several other military officers left for an official visit to Malaysia at 7 am.
Anusit Kunakorn, secretary general of the National Security Council, said Prayut will inform of the selection of Aksara as the person in charge of holding peace dialogue so that the Malaysian government would in turn inform insurgent groups.
