Chiang Mai all fogged up

Chiang Mai city was enveloped in a sea of fog Friday morning as temperatures in the lowlands of the northern province fell to 13 degrees Celsius.
The temperature on the top of Doi Inthanon mountain was measured at 3 degrees Celsius while that at the Kiew Mae Parn viewpoint of the Doi Inthanon National Park was 4 degrees. Frozen dew was also seen on the mountaintop Friday morning.
The Chiang Mai meteorological office predicts that the temperature will plunge by a further one to three degrees from Monday to Wednesday next week with the lowest temperature on the lowlands expected to drop to 11 degrees.
