Dhanin proposes cash giving instead of New Year parties

Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman and CEO of Charoen Pokphand Group, Wednesday proposed that companies give cash to their workers instead of throwing New Year parties for them.
The amount of money should be tax deductible, he added. He said the workers would spend the cash buying goods and thus effectively reviving the sluggish economy.
Dhanin proposed the idea to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha while the two were attending an exhibition of grand sale fair for the poor at the Government House.
