Over 12,000 tourists stay overnight on Doi Inthanon

The mercury atop the Doi Inthanon mountain plunged to one Celsius degree Wednesday morning.
The chilling weather was enjoyed by 12,206 tourists who stayed overnight at the two camping grounds on the mountaintop Tuesday night.
Park officials said the collected Bt588,920 entrance fees from the tourists Tuesday. They arrived on 246 motorcycles and 2,800 other vehicles.
