Some 22,000 tourists join Doi Inthanon countdown

A total of 22,023 tourists registered with the Doi Inthanon National Park to stay overnight on the mountaintop for the New Year countdown, Doi Inthanon Park chief Pornthep Charoensuebsakul said Thursday.
The tourists arrived in 5,123 vehicles, he added. The tourists also joined the alms giving ceremony on New Year morning when the temperature plunged to zero Celsius degree, he said.
