Two suspected insurgents were killed and a ranger was injured in a clash in Narathiwat's Joh I Rong district Tuesday afternoon.
Police said five alleged insurgents in a pick-up truck refused to stop at a road checkpoint and sped away so six rangers on three motorcycles chased after them, resulting in a gunfight. Two suspects were later found killed in the truck while three others fled the scene.
