Four more suspects sought over grenade attack at court

POLICE are obtaining arrest warrants for another four suspects accused of involvement in the hand grenade attack on the Criminal Court earlier this month, Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Pol Lt-General Sriwara Ransibrahmanakul said yesterday.

The four men were identified by a police source as Wichian Chaloyram, Wit, Prathueng and Rung. The source did not give details on their alleged crimes in the grenade attack late on March 7.
There are 16 suspects already in custody and three others on the run. This includes US citizen Manoon Chaichana, who Thai police want to extradite from the United States for alleged involvement in a terrorist act.
Another police source said the Anti-Money Laundering Office was tracking financial transactions allegedly from Manoon to operatives in the hand grenade attack based in Thailand.
The results of the AMLO probe would be completed in two weeks’ time. The evidence against Manoon, if found, would be submitted to Interpol to seek his capture via an international arrest warrant for his support of a terrorist act, the source said.
