Cut in retail fuel prices

Retail oil prices will be cut by Bt0.50-Bt1.50 a litre tomorrow, following a cut in contribution to the Oil Fund.

The Energy Policy Administration Committee, chaired by Energy Minister Narongchai Akrasanee, today approved the cut in Oil Fund levy from all types of fuel, except gasohol E20 and E85, effective on April 4.
Narongchai said that though the levy on gasohol E20 and E85 is maintained, the authorities would try to convince oil retailers to slash pump prices by Bt0.50 per litre.
The committee also agreed to lower LPG price by Bt0.20 per kg, bringing down the gas price to Bt23.96 per kg.
