National police chief Pol Gen Somyot Pumpanmuang Friday sent back a request for him to strip former prime minister Thaksin Shinawtra of his police lieutenant colonel rank to the police committee in charge of considering the issue.
Somyot reasoned that the panel had failed to thoroughly deliberate how Thaksin’s behaviour deserved the action. Earlier, Somyot sent back the issue on ground that a panel member failed to sign his name endorsing the decision.
