Ampon nominated as BOT chairman

The Finance Ministry will nominate Ampon Kittiampon, the secretary general to the Cabinet, as the central bank chairman for another term.
A source said that Deputy Prime Minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula would tomorrow submit the nomination for the Cabinet's acknowledgement.
Ampon has served several titles. He was appointed Bank of Thailand chairman in 2013 and has been holding the position ever since. He served as chairman of Thai Airways International from May 2009 to July 1, 2014.
