Govt to start paying Bt400 childcare subsidy in October

The government will start paying childcare subsidy of Bt400 a month to mothers of children born October 1 onwards, Deputy Government Spokesman Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Sunday.
The spokesman urged mothers, who are scheduled to deliver from October 1 2015 to September 30 2016 to register their pregnancy so that they will be eligible for the monthly subsidy until their child becomes one-year-old.
Sansern said the mothers are also required to have their children receive all kinds of vaccinations to continue to receive the childcare subsidy for 12 months.
