PM meets Rayong fruit growers

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Monday met fruit growers in Rayong and promised to implement measures to shore up fruit prices.
Prayut met the fruit growers at the Tapong Central Fruit Market in Rayong’s Mueang disrict at 9 am.
The prime minister was accompanied by Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda, Education Minister Narong Pipattanasai and Deputy Agricultural Minister Amnuay Pratise.
Rayong governor Somsak Suwansucharit led government officials, village heads and tambon leaders and some 1,000 villagers to welcome the prime minister’s entourage.
Prayut told the fruit growers that his government had a policy to shore up the prices of fruit and to open comprehensive fruit markets to sell to tourists.
His government would also allocate Bt32 million for the improvement of the Tapong fruit market, Prayut added.
