Plea for no more emergency prank calls

The National Institute for Emergency Medicine's Call Centre (1669) has received 57 prank calls so far this month.

Until July 26, 17 prank calls were directed to the centre in Nakhon Ratchasima, 14 in Nakhon Pathom, 10 in Trang, 8 in Tak, 7 in Ratchaburi and 1 in Samut Songkhram.
Anucha Setsatient, secretary-general of the institute, said that such calls disrupted the rescue operations. He pleaded for no more prank calls.
The institute recently released a VDO showing a patient who died because of a prank call.
