'Bike for Mom' rehearsal brought forward

A REHEARSAL for the August 16 "Bike for Mom" campaign will be held on Sunday morning from 7.30am to noon instead 3pm to 9pm as previously scheduled, police spokesman Pol Lt-General Prawut Thawornsiri said Wednesday.
The event was postponed in order to avoid heavy traffic as holidaymakers will be returning to the capital on that day, he said. The rehearsal, which will be attended by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, will have the same security as on the actual day along the biking route – from Dusit Palace Plaza to Sutthisan Intersection.
