Man submits to police over Facebook prediction

A 36-year-old, who allegedly posted a warning on Facebook about possible attacks in Bangkok, has denied any direct links to the Monday's fatal explosion.

Pongphop Boonsaree posted the warning on his Facebook account on the night of August 13. This post caught the authorities attention after Erawan Shrine bombing.
Pongphop – who uses the name Wichawej Pornpromraksa on Facebook – quickly reported himself to police to prove his innocence.
“I am not involved in the bomb attack. I posted the warning only because I do not want to see the situation in the country get worse,” he said.
