The inclusion of the National Strategic Reform and Reconciliation Committee (NSRRC) in the draft charter was the main reason the Democrat Party rejected the draft, fearing it would stir conflict in society, said Soracha Weerachartwattana, former Democrat
“In the draft charter, there were issues like [the creation of] the National Strategic Reform and Reconciliation Commission (NSRRC) being introduced at the very last moment without careful consideration about the issue. This could have been the main factor leading to another conflict in society,” said Soracha.
