Deputy Education Minister Thirakiat Charoensethasilp has said that this follows complaints from teachers and university lecturers.
“The current criteria have added to teacher’s workload without really supporting educational development,” he said.
Thirakiat said he had raised and discussed the issue with Education Minister Dapong Rattanasuwan.
“We believe we will have to reduce the number of indicators used in assessments,” Thirakiat said.
He added that he would discuss the situation with relevant officials. “Good indicators, though few, can reflect educational quality,” Thirakiat commented.
He said the many indicators |used had only increased paperwork for teachers and lecturers.
