Applications out for private bus stations

Private sector persons are invited to apply until October 31 for licences to build and run bus stations - part of a Land Transport Department plan to build nine additional bus stations for travellers and become a hub of bus transport, said department depu
Of the nine additional stations, one will be in Ayutthaya, one in Phetchaburi, two in Prachuap Khiri Khan (one provincial station and one Hua Hin district station), one in Maha Sarakham, one in Ang Thong, one in Chon Buri’s Pattaya City, one in Chiang Rai’s Chiang Khong district and one in Sa Kaew’s Aranyaprathet district.
A provincial bus station requires at least five rais, while a district-level station needs at least three. All must be less than 300 metres from a highway or public road.
