A court in Phuket has issued arrest warrants for 34 suspects in connection with the riots in Thalang district.
“Most of the suspects are local teenagers,” Provincial Police Region 8 chief Pol Lt-General Thesa Siriwatho said Tuesday.
Earlier this month, hundreds of locals went on a rampage at Thalang Police Station over the death of two young drug suspects, who died in an accident that occurred during a police chase.
