Egat plans Energy Park

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand kicked off the construction of its Bt600 million park project, designed to boost knowledge among Thais.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was held today. The project, located at Egat headquarters in Nonthaburi, is slated for completion late 2016.
Egat governor Soonchai Kumnoonsate said that similar learning centres are planned nationwide. They are aimed at educating all in electricity and Egat's mission, as well as inspiring new generation.
The agency has applied for the US Green Building Council's LEED Platinum certificate for the 6,200-square metre building. The universal design will also make it accessible to the elderly and people with disabilities.
