Thais in Yangon told to be vigilant

The Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon issued a letter to Thai nationals staying in Yangon, urging them to watch out for their own safety.

In the letter, the embassy cited that death sentence handed down to two Myanmar migrant workers stirred criticism. Social media users are mobilising supporters for the protest in front of the embassy tomorrow.
"For your own safety, we urge all to be extremely vigilant in this period and to avoid identifying yourselves as Thai nationals if not necessary," the embassy said in the letter.
