Ex-abbot of Saket Temple commits suicide

Phraprom Sutee, who has resigned as the abbot of the Saket Temple was found hanged with his waist-tying cloth inside his living quarter Monday morning, police said.
His body was found by his monk followers and brother,who brought him down to his bed before police arrived.
Metropolitan Police Division 6 Pol Maj Gen Songpol Wattahanachai said the monk apparently hanged himself.
His body was sent to the Police Hospital for an autopsy.
The monk resigned as the abbot after the Office of the Auditor General found alleged irregularities in the temple’s spending for holding the funeral services for the previous abbot of the temple.
